Your feeble minds can’t even fathom how much of a pain in the balls this main image was for my meager photochop skills.
For the second time we see a band battling themselves. This time around it’s The Scorpions, as we pit their original recording of Rock You Like A Hurricane against the “Hurricane 2000" version, in which they were backed by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.

The 2000 version is what happens when Germans are allowed to go completely over the top. I quite like the strings, but the vocals are more raw and fitting in the original. I’m not sure if I like the tweaks to the guitar riff and solos in the newer version either.

There’s just too much going in the orchestral version

The new one is good, it’s just too much. I generally like when orchestral, especially strings, are used with rock but it just doesn’t work as well added on years later.
